Welcome to Rijsttafel Resto, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Bandung, Indonesia. Located on Jl. As one customer noted, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast, though the lunch menu shines brightly with an array of offerings that promise to tantalize your taste buds.
When it comes to food, Rijsttafel Resto does not disappoint. The standout dish that has garnered rave reviews is the nasi liwet, known for its generous portions and delightful flavors. Diners can also indulge in the tempeh mendoan, which consistently earns a perfect five-star rating for its crispy texture and irresistible taste. For those who appreciate a good soup, the soto here is a must-try—though a topping of more shredded chicken would elevate it even further, according to a recent review.
Morning meals feature unique items like gehu and pisang goreng, which are savored for their unexpected savory twist, perfect when paired with cili padi for a spicy kick. And if you have a sweet tooth, be sure to sip on the es cincau hijau, a refreshing drink that hits the right balance of sweetness.
In a nutshell, Rijsttafel Resto offers a delightful excursion into Indonesian cuisine, complemented by a warm atmosphere and attentive service. Whether you're enjoying breakfast or indulging in a leisurely lunch, each dish is crafted with care, ensuring that your palate awakens to the vibrant flavors of Indonesia. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this charming establishment. Your taste buds will thank you!
“ Atmosphere felt like eating inside an old building. But I think they did a good job at maintaining the building. Service was also quite good. The soto was good, I asked for a steamy hot soup, they provided it well. Executed well. If I could comment, maybe more shredded chicken in it with half or one hard boiled egg would be nice. 4 of 5. Tempeh mendoan, one word, nice! 5 of 5. Nasi bakar, overall it was nice. Back then the rice was a bit too squishy? 4 of 5. This es campur was like the best ever. Instead of using jackfruit, they use peuyeum in it, definitely elevated the taste. 5 of 5. Worth trying. ”
“ The ambiance here is pleasant, and we had breakfast here. The breakfast menu is rather limited, so it might be better to visit during lunchtime. Service is very friendly and attentive. I tried the gehu/pisang goreng, which was quite unique — I expected it to be sweet, but it turned out savory and pairs well with cili padi. The es cincau hijau is on the sweeter side, but I really enjoyed its unique flavor. The place is clean overall, including the toilets, although the water pressure is quite low. ”
